CMP autumn programme: precision competitions announced in Phoenix
The Civilian Marksmanship Program has presented its autumn programme for Phoenix. The Western Games take place from 9 to 18 October 2026 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility. The announcement was published on 26 August.

For those interested in longer distances, 13 and 14 October are particularly relevant: Mid- and Long-Range competitions are scheduled for these days. They include a 3×600 format at 548.6 m / 600 yrd and a two-person team competition.
In Highpower, the CMP uses Kongsberg electronic target technology. Electronic scoring is therefore part of the event, alongside a selection of individual and team formats.
The CMP had already scheduled competitions at 914.4 m / 1,000 yrd at Camp Perry on 12 and 13 September. Phoenix is the next major autumn fixture in the announced programme.
