What defines NRL HUNTER and hunting-inspired competition formats?
NRL HUNTER is a sporting competition series with hunting-inspired tasks. According to the series description, these include observation, distance finding and dealing with initially unknown conditions. The series has its own divisions and scoring rules. It is neither another name for PRS nor a general term for hunting.

That distinction matters: a competition takes place under the conditions of its announcement and organisation. It does not establish a general answer to what distance is responsible in actual hunting. Equipment permitted in a match does not replace hunting requirements either.
A report can therefore have a hunting connection while clearly describing a sporting competition. Event listings should state the series, host country, available divisions and applicable rules. Readers can then recognise whether the event is a competition, a training offer or actual hunting.
