Leupold is expanding its observation optics range with the MX-6HD 8–48×60. The announcement dated 25 September 2026 introduces a compact spotting scope with a first-focal-plane reticle.

Options include PR2-MIL, TMR and Tremor-4 versions. The reticle's apparent size changes along with the image, keeping its angular scale consistent throughout the magnification range. This is a useful feature for shared observation in precision shooting sports.

A folded optical path enables the short design. Leupold specifies a length of around 353 mm and a weight of 1.47 kg for the PR2 version. The housing is made of magnesium.

Two ARCA mounting surfaces and additional mounting interfaces form part of the exterior. Focus and dioptre adjustment have separate controls. The MX-6HD thus combines image observation with a housing designed for accessories and tripods.
