Weatherby supplied the rifle for the report. A carbon-wrapped barrel and a carbon stock are defining features of the model. Both fit its focus on a portable rifle in which weight plays an important part.
At 91.4 m / 100 yrd, Ray measured a five-shot group of approximately 27.4 mm and three separate three-shot groups of 24.4, 10.2 and 14.0 mm. He used Federal Gold Medal Centerstrike with a 9.07 g bullet and a ZEISS Conquest V4 6–24×50. He subsequently reports three hits at 914.4 m / 1,000 yrd. The rifle has a BSF barrel approximately 559 mm long and weighs just over 2.72 kg according to the report.
