What does long-range sport within Germany’s BDMP include?
The BDMP offers various sporting formats for longer distances, including Long Range, Target Rifle and F-Class. The name ZG 7 also appears in the long-range field. These names do not describe a single competition run identically everywhere.

Three documents need to be read together: the sporting rules, supplementary association information and the announcement for the specific event. A discipline can include several classes or classifications. National and international events with similar names may have different detailed rules. An old results report is therefore not enough to establish today’s entry requirements.
A useful event description gives the full discipline name, organiser, applicable rule version and available classes. “Scoped rifle” alone would be too vague, hiding differences in sights, support and scoring. Binding answers about entry into a particular match come from the responsible association or match officials.
