Bergara Mercury Ti30: 280 g titanium suppressor now available in Germany

What is new is not the product launch but availability in Germany through Leader Trading. The European version weighs 280 g, the US BTi30 weighs 366 g and uses a different mounting system – the two are not interchangeable.

Hunting · Equipment

Spanish rifle maker Bergara has added a suppressor to its range. For the German market, all4shooters.com reported on 1 October 2026 that the Mercury Ti30 is available through the importer Leader Trading. What is new is therefore not the product launch but its availability in Germany. The case matters because the European and the North American versions are not identical.

Key points

– What is new is availability in Germany through Leader Trading (report of 01.10.2026); Jagd & Natur dates the market launch to 01.09.2026.
– Manufacturer figures for the European version: 165 mm / 6.50 in length, 44.5 mm / 1.75 in diameter, 280 g / 9.9 oz, calibres up to .30.
– Thread options M14×1 and 5/8"-24 UNEF, Cerakote in Sniper Grey or Graphite Black, recommended price 829 euros.
– The US version is called BTi30, is listed at 366 g / 12.9 oz and 1,099 US dollars and uses a different mounting system. The two versions must not be equated.
– In Germany, section 13(9) of the Weapons Act ties use to long guns approved for hunting and chambered for centrefire ammunition; for Austria and Switzerland we were unable to retrieve the official texts.

What the manufacturer states about the design

According to manufacturer information, reproduced by Jagd & Natur on 03.09.2026, the Mercury Ti30 is made of aviation-grade titanium and produced by selective laser melting. Bergara describes the result as a one-piece monoblock without removable parts; development and production are said to take place entirely in Europe. Manufacturer and distributor put the sound reduction at 25 to 35 decibels, depending on calibre and barrel length.

Further attributions – a more even recoil impulse, reduced muzzle signature, largely unchanged handling – are manufacturer statements without measurement records. No testing of our own took place, and we have no comparative measurements.

The figures from the German distributor

Leader Trading GmbH lists the model in two finishes: Sniper Grey (12-19100) and Graphite Black (12-19150), both marked as in stock on 06.11.2026. The detail page gives 16.5 cm length, 0.28 kg weight, titanium, calibre 30 and the two muzzle threads. The diameter is missing there; 44.5 mm / 1.75 in comes from the trade reports.

Caution is warranted on price: the product page shows 829.00 euros, the metadata of the same page 539 euros. Since Leader Trading serves the specialist trade, a distinction between trade and end-customer price is plausible, but not documented. The reference figure remains the recommended price of 829 euros including VAT.

Two versions that should not be confused

The North American manufacturer page lists the product as the BTi30 Suppressor with differing figures: 366 g / 12.9 oz, dimensions 165 × 44.5 mm / 6.5 × 1.75 in, grade 5 titanium, approval for .300 RUM at 406 mm / 16 in barrel length, recommended price 1,099 US dollars. The data sheet lists three colour variants (BTi-30B, BTi-30G, BTi-30FDE), a HUB interface of 1.375"×24 TPI with a 5/8"-24 direct thread included, and an optional vented or closed end cap.

Length and diameter agree, weight and mounting concept do not: 280 g against 366 g, a monoblock without removable parts against interchangeable caps and a HUB thread. Whether these are two configurations of the same basic body cannot be determined from the available pages. Anyone buying in Europe should rely on the European article numbers, not on US data sheets or US photographs.

On the background, all4shooters.com reports that a prototype was shown on 9 May 2026 at the Bergara Experience German Edition in Philippsburg and that the production model differs from it. We have no other confirmation of this statement.

Assessment

Germany: section 13(9) first sentence of the Weapons Act provides that subsections 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 apply accordingly to suppressors. The second sentence limits use to long guns approved for hunting and chambered for centrefire ammunition, in the course of hunting and hunting practice shooting. The approval up to .30 therefore covers the common centrefire hunting calibres; the tie to a long gun and to hunting purposes remains, and state hunting law is unaffected.

Austria and Switzerland: we cannot make reliable statements. The Austrian legal information system blocks automated retrieval, and the Fedlex portal delivers no normative text without JavaScript. We therefore make no statement on admissibility. Anyone hunting there must clarify the position with the competent authority before ordering.

Technically we classify the Mercury Ti30 as a light hunting suppressor. 280 g at the muzzle alter the balance and swing of a driven-hunt rifle less than a markedly heavier steel suppressor. The monoblock design rules out replacing internal parts. More important than the decibel figure are thread fit, bore clearance for the calibre and muzzle spacing on the specific barrel.

Open questions

– No independent sound measurements are available; the 25 to 35 decibels are a manufacturer and distributor figure without a published measurement method.
– The weight difference between 280 g (Europe) and 366 g (USA) is unexplained.
– The contradiction between 829.00 and 539 euros on the distributor page is not explained.
– A manufacturer page with complete European data was unreachable on 06.11.2026; the publication date at Jagd & Natur is contradictory (metadata 03.09.2026, body text 03.03.2026).
– We found no manufacturer information on service life, load approvals or warranty in Europe.
– Several German hunting media block automated retrieval or sit behind a paywall; these were not circumvented and remain unevaluated.
