MDT DRT: a lightweight chassis for hunting and field competition
MDT has introduced its DRT chassis. The announcement dated 21 September 2026 names 18 September as the start of sales. It is offered for right-handed Remington 700 short-action systems, initially in black and FDE.
MDT has introduced its DRT chassis. The announcement dated 21 September 2026 names 18 September as the start of sales. It is offered for right-handed Remington 700 short-action systems, initially in black and FDE.
According to the manufacturer, the folding version weighs around 1.45 kg. MDT combines a magnesium structure with aluminium, titanium and carbon components. The DRT therefore focuses on extensive features with limited weight.
The concept includes an ARCA interface and a mounting bridge with 20 MOA / approximately 5.82 MRAD of inclination. MDT also highlights development of the folding mechanism and its revised hinge design.
