Outdoor Life named the PROOF Elevation MTR FDX its “Editor’s Choice – Best Hunting Rifle” in a comparison published on 6 October 2026. PROOF Research highlighted the result in a manufacturer release on 16 October. The news concerns the award and the recent independent publication’s test.
According to the manufacturer, the model combines a carbon-fibre stock, a carbon-fibre-wrapped barrel and a Falkor LW7 action. A combined ARCA/Picatinny interface on the fore-end is also included. The original test covers a 6.5 Creedmoor version. For precision-sport readers, the combination of a portable hunting rifle and these features is of interest; Weitschuss has not conducted its own shooting test.
PROOF lists Reimer Johannsen as its German distribution partner. This establishes European brand representation, not German stock of the awarded version. The manufacturer photograph shows the MTR FDX in Splinter Camo; the optic and suppressor in the additional field photograph are pictured accessories, not confirmed here as included equipment.
